A clear agreement for a very personal book.
These terms govern your use of Nidobook and your order of a personalized book. They explain how the service works, what you are responsible for, and what we are responsible for. Please read them before you order. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Effective June 9, 2026
1. Who we are
Nidobook is operated by Nidobook LLC, a single-member limited liability company organized in Arizona, United States (“Nidobook,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We create one-of-a-kind, personalized hardcover and softcover picture books, and a digital keepsake edition, written and illustrated from details you provide.
The service is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, provide details, or place an order. By using Nidobook you confirm that you are 18 or older and are placing the order as an adult.
2. How your book is made
You answer a short set of questions about the people, places, heritage, and moment you want the book to hold, and you may add photos of family members and pets. From those details, we write an original story and illustrate it as a picture book. The illustrated child is drawn to resemble the family who loves them, based on the photos you provide of family members — we never ask for, and you should never upload, a photo of the child.
Illustrations are created with the help of modern image tools and are reviewed by a person before printing. They are an artistic interpretation inspired by the photos and details you share — a hand-illustrated likeness, not a photographic reproduction or a guaranteed exact match of any individual. Each book is unique, and small variations are part of how an illustrated book is made.
3. Preview before payment
You can review the full book — cover, every page, and any dedication — in the preview before you are asked to pay. Payment is requested only after you approve the preview and choose the edition you want. Because each printed book is made to order for one family, please review names, spelling, dedication text, and your edition choice carefully before you approve. See our Refunds page for how we handle issues after an order is placed.
4. Your content and your responsibilities
“Your content” means the names, relationships, heritage, traditions, messages, and photos you provide. You keep ownership of your content. By providing it, you grant Nidobook a limited license to use it solely to create, review, produce, and fulfill your book and to provide support.
You represent and agree that:
- You have the right to share everything you provide, including the right to upload any photo of another adult or family member and to have an illustration created from it.
- You will not upload a photo of the child the book is for, or of any other child.
- Your content does not infringe anyone’s rights and is not unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable.
- The details you provide are accurate to the best of your knowledge, especially names, spelling, and dedication text.
If a photo appears to be of a child, we may decline to use it and ask you to provide a photo of a family member or pet instead.
5. Acceptable use
Please use Nidobook only to create books for lawful, personal, gift, or family purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, access it in an unauthorized way, resell it, or use it to create content that is unlawful or that targets or exploits children. We may decline or cancel an order, and refund any amount paid, if an order would require us to violate these terms, our policies, or the law.
6. Orders, pricing, and payment
Editions and prices are shown on the site and at checkout, in US dollars, and may change over time. The price that applies to your order is the one shown when you approve and pay. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card details. Applicable taxes and any shipping charges are shown before you confirm. We currently ship within the United States first, with international shipping planned later — see the Delivery page.
7. Refunds and order issues
The full preview exists so you can decide before you pay. If a production, printing, shipping, or order problem occurs after payment, contact us at support@nidobook.com and we will review what happened and work with you on a fair resolution. Because printed books are personalized and made for one family, changes are easiest before checkout. Full details are on the Refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
8. Intellectual property
You own your personalized book — the specific story and illustrations created for your family — for your personal, non-commercial use, including reading it, gifting it, and keeping the digital keepsake. You keep ownership of the content you provided.
Nidobook retains all rights in the platform itself: the site, the questionnaire, the underlying templates, tools, software, brand, and design. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you, and nothing transfers your personal content to us beyond the limited license described above.
9. Disclaimers
We work hard to make each book right and to review every book before printing. Even so, the service and the books are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that an illustrated likeness will match anyone exactly.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nidobook and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the service or any book. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these terms or the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you agree to that jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product grows. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Changes apply to orders placed after the change takes effect. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
